Power and Gas Metering & Forecasting

Consumption measurements and forecasts, ready for decisions

FAST imports metering data published on the SII, checks it and makes it readable down to the single point, then calculates power and gas consumption forecasts: long-term for offers and renewals, short-term for scheduling and imbalance.

Features

Inside FAST

Forecasting consumption accurately is the basis of every offer. In fixed-price quotes, volume risk weighs on the margin. FAST monitors customer consumption in real time, flags anything that does not add up and produces configurable forecasts for offer pricing, portfolio management and scheduling.

How it works, step by step

From the metering file published on the SII to the offer price: the FAST cycle.

01 · Metering

Metering files published on the SII are imported and archived without manual intervention.

02 · Auditing

Every measurement is checked: gaps, anomalies and deviations trigger an alert.

03 · Reporting

Consumption can be viewed by offer or price list, down to the single point and the hour.

04 · Forecasting

The algorithms calculate the forecast, which users can refine and version.

05 · Margins

The forecast feeds offer pricing, portfolio and bidding.

Why choose FAST

01How is consumption data acquired?

FAST has an import module integrated with the SII folders: published XML files are archived automatically and made available without manual operations, for every flow type and commodity.

02How is consumption monitored?

The Actuals section shows consumption from different perspectives: charts highlight deviations from previous consumption and contract data, from the summary view down to the finest granularity. FAST automatically checks the data and catches errors and anomalies in the files.

03Can the forecast be modified?

Yes. After the calculation, users can analyse the results and fine-tune them with levers and filters, top-down or on a single point and period, in percentage or absolute terms. FAST keeps both the original and the modified simulation, so the result can always be traced back.

04What does machine learning add?

The algorithm developed by the MAS R&D team calculates the daily forecast of power and gas consumption by integrating multiple sources and clustering profiles. Compared with FAST's native algorithm, it improves the 30-day forecast by 38% and reduces error dispersion by 33%.
